Global Food Summit: Looking Forward to Berkeley, 18. April 2017

On the 18th of April 2017 it is time again: International scientists as well as businesses and associations from the food sector will meet at the University of California, Berkeley, for the Global Food Summit. The topic of this year’s summit is "Strategic Perspectives on Innovation in Agrifood Supply Chains". As 2016, it is organized by Professor David Zilberman, holder of the Robinson Chair in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at U.C. Berkeley.

Two speakers from Germany an are invited this year as well: Prof. Jörg Hartung (University of Hannover), Dr. Michael Binder (Director for Sustainablity Development, Evonik) and from the Netherlands, Prof. Justus Wesseler (University of Wageningen). 

The Global Food Summit will take place for three days, from the 18.th to the 20.th of April 2017, at the David Brower Center on the Berkeley Campus. Food Culture Net will be in Berkeley to join the summit as well. In order to get attuned, you can find some interviews and impressions from the 2016 summit in the Faculty Club in Berkeley.

Am 18. April 2017 ist es wieder so weit: Internationale Wissenschaftler sowie Unternehmen und Verbände aus dem Lebensmittelbereich treffen sich an der Universität of California, Berkeley zum Global Food Summit. In diesem Jahr mit dem Thema "Strategic Perspectives on Innovation in Agrifood Sypply Chains". Eingeladen hat, wie bereits im April 2016, Prof. David Zilberman, von der Fakultät für Agrarökonomie an der Universität Berkeley. 

Als Redner sind in diesem Jahr aus Deutschland dabei, Prof. Jörg Hartung von der Universität Hannover sowie Michael Binder, Director for Sustainablity Development, Evonik sowie aus den Niederlanden, Justus Wesseler, Professsor an der Universität Wageningen. 

Drei Tage, vom 18. bis 20. April 2017, wird der Global Food Summit im David Brower Center auf dem Campus von Berkeley stattfinden. Food Culture Net wird ebenfalls in Berkeley sein und das Symposium begleiten. Zur Einstimmung anbei einige Interviews und Impressionen von 2016 aus dem Faculty Club in Berkeley.
